Ferradura + Lapão Cave

We go by car until the village of Barro Branco and start a fascinating walk through a historic mining area, passing old constructions called "tocas" and following the riverbed to the waterfall. After visiting the waterfall, we head to Lapão Cave. In addition to its natural beauty, the cave holds significant scientific value, housing rare and fragile speleothems that are still little studied. The cave also has historical importance, with several areas that were used in the past for diamond mining.
